THIS weekend sees Knaresborough’s Spring Fayre held in the town centre and with high hopes of some good weather, organisers are looking forward to another successful weekend.
Visitor numbers are expected to be high say organisers, the Chamber of Trade, the Lions and the Rotary Club, who have been hard at work for months preparing for the Fayre which takes place Saturday and Sunday from 10am till early evening.
Withs stalls and entertainment in the Market Place, as well as childrens fairground rides, activities, games, face painting and donkey rides in the Castle grounds, residents are also reminded that in order for the stalls to be set up from 6am tomorrow, the Boots end of the Market Place will be closed off to cars tonight and for the duration of the two-day event. Vehicle owners are advised to move their cars by early evening.
The Mayor of Knaresborough, Coun Andrew Willoughby will be officially opening the event at 10am tomorrow.
Harrogate Borough Council Museums and Arts Department say tomorrow the Castle, open from 11am till 4pm, is offering two entries for the price of one for visitors.
Live entertainment in the Market Place tomorrow includes the Scholes International Dancers at 4.30pm, four piece rock band Kassius at 5.30pm and local rock band Idle Maestro from 6.30pm.
