Housing plan sparks anger

CONTROVERSIAL plans to build up to 2,000 new homes near Cardale Park have been discussed at a public meeting.

Tuesday’s meeting, hosted by Residents Against Spoiling Harrogate (RASH), concerned Harrogate Council’s plans for developing the district’s urban areas, which are currently out to consultation.

Coun Michelle Woolley, member for Rossett, said residents understood that new development was required, but were unhappy about the disproportionate amount planned for the west of Harrogate.
