Playhouse Comedy: the next production at the Playhouse is an Alan Ayckbourn farce, How the Other Half Loves. The fun revolves around the antics of three couples and their complicated relationships. An ingenious piece of staging allows us to see the sitting rooms of two of the couples on stage at the same time, with hilarious results. Comic confusion abounds as the razor-sharp Ayckbourn wit is mercilessly applied to their hapless lives. How the Other Half Loves will be presented in the Playhouse Tuesday, November 20 – Saturday, November 24 at 7.30pm, with a matinee on Saturday, November 24 at 2.30pm. Tickets priced £8 are now available at The Playhouse on Saturdays 2-4pm, or by ringing 0781 696 1854 2-6pm Mondays - Saturdays. www.pateleyplayhouse.co.uk.

Help needed: Moorview Rescue urgently need to repair the roof which is leaking badly in the rescue quarantine area. If they cannot sort this out they will not be able to take any more dogs. They have no funds available for a new roof and are asking whether anyone may be able to help them get the roof water tight until they can raise enough funds to replace it. They currently have seven dogs in there as there is no where else for them to go. The situation is dire and getting much worse due to the weather.
