A cyclist killed in a collision on the B6265 in Greenhow has been named as a Nottinghamshire policeman.
Det Insp Pete Parchment, 49, was cycling with friends between Pateley Bridge and Grassington, when he hit the tree on Wednesday (April 24) morning.
Mr Parchment, who was wearing a cycling helmet, was cycling from Greenhow towards Pateley Bridge when he collided with a tree at 10.40am, a police spokesman said.
He suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
