A night of live Acoustic Music: is to be performed at the Pateley Club on Thursday, August 2 at 42 High Street, Pateley Bridge. Free entry. All welcome. Bar open at 8pm. The evening runs 8.30-10.30pm. For any further information contact 01423 711867.

Pateley Bridge Cricket Club: are hosting Charlies Day on Sunday, July 29 starting 10am. There will be a 6 a side cricket tournament, bar, barbecue and cream teas, along with a tombola and raffle. All proceeds will be going to Yorkshire Cancer Research. The event has been organised in memory of Charlie Hardcastle. Last year over £3,000 was raised. The club hopes to top it this year.

Pateley Bridge Dance club: the dance held on Friday, July 13 raised £450 for The Parkinsons Society, which included a donation from the club. The club would like to thank everyone who supported the event or helped out in any way. The next dance will be on Friday, August 3, 7.30-11.30pm, at Pateley Bridge Memorial Hall. Glasshouses Methodist Church – 10.30am Deacon Rowland Wilkinson. Wilsill Methodist Church – 10.30am at Pateley Bridge. Wath Chapel – 6.30pm Miss Olive Moyses. At the Roman Catholic churches Sunday Mass will take place at 10.30am at Pateley and at 9.15am at Menwith Hill.
