Pateley Bridge WI: this afternoon, Thursday, November 14, Pat Osborne will give a talk on the life of Beatrix Potter. All are welcome to join us at 2pm in the Lounge of The Methodist Church.
Christmas Dragon Lantern Making workshop: there will be the annual lantern making workshop to create a Christmas Dragon at Nidderdale High School for the St Nicholas Festival on Saturday -Sunday, November 16 -17. The sessions will start at 10am and finish at 3pm and will create the Christmas Dragon frame from willow and cover it with tissue. These sessions are open to Year 5 and above who must be accompanied by an adult. Years 7-10 Nidderdale High School students and any members of the community are also invited to help with this project. Bring your own packed lunch, soft drinks will be provided. Christmas Fair: at Pateley Bridge Methodist Church on Saturday, November 23, 10am-1.30pm. There will be a wide range of stalls so come along and get some early Christmas gifts. Hot lunches will be available.
Christmas Fair: the PTFA of Nidderdale High School will be holding their Christmas Fair on Friday, November 22, 5.30-7.30pm in the school hall. There will be a variety of unusual and inspiring stalls to purchase your Christmas presents from, seasonal food and drinks will be served by the PTFA and students so please come along to support your school. Gardening Club: the next meeting of The Glasshouses and District Gardening Club will be held in Dacre and Hartwith Village Hall tonight, Thursday, November 21. The speaker will be Edward Clements who will be talking about Mediterranean Travels with a Camera.
