Gardening Club: the next meeting of the Glasshouses and District Gardening Club will be held in Dacre and Hartwith Village Hall on Thursday, October 17. New Comedy for the Playhouse: Pateley Bridge Dramatic Society’s next production is a new comedy specially written for the Playhouse by local writer Keith Burton. Keith’s last play was highly successful, and his writing received national recognition. His new play Grounds For Divorce sits in the English Whitehall Farce tradition with comical characters in ludicrous situations all adding to the mayhem. The show will be presented Tuesday, October 22 – Saturday, October 26 at 7.30pm, with a matinee on the Saturday at 2.30pm. The quiz on behalf of Harrogate Hospital Radio held at the Royal Oak in Pateley Bridge on Thursday, September 26 raised £90 for the charity’s funds. Harrogate Hospital Radio would like to thank Jacko and his team for their support, Pam for preparing the questions, those who donated prizes and to all who attended. It is hoped that everyone enjoyed the evening. Pateley Bridge Cricket Club have made the final draw of the 200 Club for this season, and the winners are as follows: £50 No 141 E Foxton; £20 No 67 N Donovan; £10 No 60 T Goldsbrough. The jackpot of £100 was won by ticket no 112 which belongs to P Chadwick.
