Wath Chapel Summer Fete: on Saturday, August 31 from 2- 4pm. Refreshments and cakes, plants, books and tombola.

Samina Khan: would like to thank everyone who attended the tea party at the memorial hall on Sunday, August 4 to celebrate Margaret Kendrew’s 50 years service at the pharmacy. Samina would also like to give special thanks to all those whose time and efforts helped to make the event such an enjoyable and memorable occasion – donating cakes, making sandwiches, serving refreshments, decorating the hall so lavishly and the Shadow Trio who provided musical accompaniment free of charge.

Charlie’s Day 2013: charity fundraiser for Yorkshire Cancer Research at Pateley Bridge Cricket Club on Sunday, August 18 at 10.30am. Six-a-side cricket., raffle, tombola, barbecue, bar. NiddArt Trail 2013: this spectacular annual festival of arts and crafts which spans the whole of Nidderdale from Middlesmoor all the way downstream to Knaresborough will take place Thursday, August 15 – Bank Holiday Monday, August 26. Bewerley Chapel Flower Festival: takes place over the bank holiday weekend, August 24 – 26, 11am-5pm. Art and flowers, refreshments and stalls. Admission free.

St Michaels Church, Wilsill 9am Holy Communion. St Cuthberts Church 10.30am Family Service. At the Roman Catholic churches Sunday Mass will take place at 10.30am at Pateley and at 9.15am at Menwith Hill.
