Cinema in the Dale: the next film, Midnight in Paris will be shown on Saturday, April 13 at 7.30pm. The following film on May 11 has been changed and will now be Les Miserables – tickets will go on sale on April 13 at the showing of Midnight in Paris and thereafter at the Pateley Bridge Pharmacy.
Pateley Bridge & Upper Nidderdale Crown Green Bowling Club: junior practice for this season starts on Thursday, April 18 with Paul Kirkbright, at 4pm on the bowling green. All junior bowlers welcome.
Pateley Bridge Cricket Club: will be holding a race night at The Crown, Pateley Bridge on Saturday, April 13 commencing at 9pm. Pateley Bridge WI: meets tonight in the lounge of the Methodist Church at 7.30pm. The speaker will be Mr Simon Duffin, author of the Fancy a Cuppa guides, who will talk about his visits to interesting tea and coffee shops east of the Mississippi, USA. New members and guests will be made very welcome.

Concert: by Reeth Brass Band at Pateley Bridge Memorial Hall at 3pm on Sunday, April 14. Free admission but there will be a retiring collection on behalf of the band and the memorial hall. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available in the interval.
Glasshouses & District Gardening Club: the next meeting will be held in Dacre & Hartwith village hall on Thursday, April 18 at 7.45pm. The speaker will be Jackie Giles who will be speaking about The History of Barnhaven, Primroses. The meeting will include the AGM. Nidderdale Society: the next meeting will be on Monday, April 15. The Magic of Monologues by John Wallis, 7.30pm at Dacre Banks Village Hall. The society also organises walks, most of which are not very demanding. They range in distance from about five to 10 miles. These usually start at 10.30am on the Tuesday of the week following each presentation meeting. At present, there is no charge for persons participating in these walks. The next walk will be Pateley Bridge Merryfield on Tuesday, April 30 starting at Pateley Bridge long stay car park. The leader will be Jack and the walk will be seven miles long.
