Mayors Charity Valentines Ball: on Saturday, February 16 the Mayor will be holding the 7th Annual Mayors Charity Valentines Ball. The event is being held at Pateley Bridge Memorial Hall at 7pm for 7.30pm. It is a black tie event so you should come dressed to thrill ready to enjoy a great night of entertainment and good food. The event is open to all with the proceeds going to the Mayors Charity Fund which are then used to help fund events in the area. The evening will consist of live entertainment, a three course meal, tea/coffee and treats and a tombola. The cost of the event is £35 per person.

The Art of Life: an exhibition of work in textiles and other media by Mary Whitney (1942-2012) on Friday, February15 – Sunday, February 17, 10am-4pm, at No 6 Gallery, The Old Workhouse.
Glasshouses & District Gardening Club: the next meeting will be held in Dacre and Hartwith Village Hall on Thursday, February 21 at 7.45pm. The speaker will be Martin Fish and his subject will be New Season, New Beginnings, inspiring us to get underway for a fresh season in the garden. Pateley Bridge WI: the next meeting will be tonight, Thursday, February 14, in the Methodist Church lounge at 7.30pm when David Ridgway will give a talk about Fountains Abbey. New members and guests will be made very welcome.
Nidderdale Society: the next meeting will be on Monday, February 18 and will be a talk by Heather Perry, managing director of Fodder entitled The Yorkshire Agricultural Society and Fodder, 7.30pm at Dacre Banks Village Hall. The society also organises walks, most of which are not very demanding. They range in distance from about five to 10 miles.These usually start at 10.30am on the Tuesday of the week following each presentation meeting. At present, there is no charge for persons participating in these walks. The next walk will be A Walk Around Darley on Tuesday, February 26 starting at Stocks Green, Darley.
