A passenger in a car that collided with two other vehicles had to be cut out of the car they were travelling in when they suffered chest and stomach injuries.

The incident took place around 2.50pm on July 18 on the A61 near Killinghall when a Range Rover towing a caravan jackknifed, skidding on the road, and crashed into a Volkswagon Golf.

The two passengers in the Range Rover and the driver of the Golf suffered minor injuries and cuts, whilst the passenger in the Golf suffered injuries to the stomach and chest.

The Fire and Rescue teams from Harrogate and another from Ripon who were called to the scene decided to extrecate the passenger from the car.
