Pannal Wives: meet every third Wednesday each month (except July and August) and are a friendly bunch looking for more friends to join. The yearly charge is £20 which includes refreshments. Please come and try us out as a visitor for £4. Our October meeting is a social with games and nibbles, on October 16. Harrogate South (Pannal) Children’s Centre: are you aware that this great facility exists in Pannal? The centre is based in the grounds of Pannal School and is here to provide support to families of children aged five years and under living in Pannal, Huby, Weeton, Sicklinghall, Kirby Overblow and Spofforth areas. The centre offers activities throughout the week for pre-school aged children, expectant parents and babies. Additional activities may also take place on Saturdays or during the evening. Every Wednesday morning a play and learn group runs from 10 to 11.30am. This is for all under fives and their carers who can come along and enjoy activities indoors and outside. On Wednesday afternoons during term time baby group meets from 1.30-2.30pm. This friendly group is run by Alison Heseltine from the Preschool Learning Alliance and includes sensory play, treasure baskets, messy play and stories and music. Babies from birth to walking are welcome at this group. Special visitors on Tuesday, October 8 will be the animals from Purple Pig – come along and meet the farm animals between 1.30-4.30pm
Another Bag of Mixed Nuts: the latest evening of fun and frivolity from Woodlands Drama Group takes place at Pannal Village hall on Saturday, September 28 at 7.30pm. Tickets can be purchased from Stephen Hall (firstname.lastname@example.org, telephone 07795 484370) at a cost of £6 per head. Alternatively they can be purchased at Pannal Post Office (Crimple Valley fresh).
Pannal Village Hall Music Night: Pannal Village Hall will host a fundraising event on Saturday, October 12. It is a music night with music from the TOGS (Tired old geezers!) a band that plays all kinds of popular music from the past.
