St Robert’s Beer Festival: runs again on September 6 and 7. The Friday times are from 6-11pm and the Saturday from 2-8pm. As well as the wonderful ales on offer there will be food, wine and soft drinks available and as usual entertainment and raffles! If you are able to donate a raffle or tombola prize, please get in touch with me, anything large or small would be much appreciated! Saturday has a family feel to it with free entry for children, games and a cake stall. Adult tickets are £10 and are available from The Harwood and the post office in Pannal or from the Black Swan in Burn Bridge. Alternatively you can buy your tickets online at via Whizzy Tickets. Pannal Village Hall News: following an acclaimed first appearance at the venue last summer Woodlands Drama Group returns to Pannal Village Hall on Saturday, September 28 at 7.30pm to let off steam with Another Bag Of Mixed Nuts, an evening of delicious light entertainment featuring monologues and sketches by (amongst others) Victoria Wood and French and Saunders. Interleaved between the comedy acts will be a selection of superb songs delivered by the group’s finest singers. Kay Albrecht on keyboard will provide expert musical accompaniment.
