State of roads: I was contacted by a reader who asked me to mention the state of the roads at the moment. I have to say I agree with him, he mentioned the stretch of Main Street between the bridge and Crimple Meadows, it is full of potholes and needs resurfacing. I have to say it is not just this part of Pannal, everywhere I go around Harrogate at the moment I seem to be swerving to avoid potholes (when I’m not waving manically at the traffic to slow down that is). Whilst looking online at how to report these issues I came across a great website called fixmystreet.com which allows you to report any issues you have such as potholes, missing street signs, the site then forwards the details to the council for you, sounds like a brilliant idea! If you prefer to do it the traditional way then you can contact North Yorkshire County Council with the location and any identifiable landmarks around it (how about the identifiable landmark is the giant pothole!). You can either call customer services or use their online reporting form.

Holiday: Easter is approaching and I will be away for some of the time – this means if you have anything you wish to mention, events, activities, meetings etc in the first few weeks of April I would be really grateful if you could let me have it by Tuesday, March 26. Thank you.
