An ambulance got stuck on the Stray today and had to get help from people passing by.
Paramedics were responding to a call at around 11am in conjunction with the police and drove onto the Stray near the Prince of Wales roundabout.
They pulled up onto the grass to get as close to the patient as possible and were unable to drive off again.
Members of the public, including a group of builders, then helped the ambulance off the grass.
A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We are grateful to the people who really helped us out.
“The patient did not have life-threatening injuries and was taken to Harrogate District Hospital.”
