Mushroom inquiry halted

AN inquiry into plans for expansion at a Wath mushroom farm has been adjourned.

Planning Inspector Graham Dudley opened the inquiry, which looked into an application to build a new mushroom growing hut at the site near Wath, on Tuesday, September 13.

After hearing from the farm’s owners, the borough council and local residents, proceedings were adjourned at around 2pm on Friday, September 16.

The inquiry will restart for closing arguments at Harrogate Borough Council offices on Crescent Gardens, Harrogate on Thursday, October 6 at 9.30am.
