North Yorkshire Police have urged motorists to be careful travelling on the A1(M) after a spate of crashes this morning.
Police were first called between Junction 47 Allerton Park and Junction 46 southbound at Wetherby at 5.45 this morning after a car skidded and collided with the central reservation.
Just 15 minutes later there was a second collision in the same location when a van crashed into the central reservation. Both cars were moved to the hard shoulder.
One lane was closed and the male driver of the van and the female driver of the car suffered no injuries. The lane was reopened at 8.30am.
However, at 8.25am there was a third collision at Junction 46 Wetherby, just before the services, when a car and a lorry crashed travelling southbound. Police are still at the scene but have reported no injuries.
Police have urged drivers to take caution this morning when travelling in snowy conditions.
