IT WAS back to the Medieval days for Knaresborough when the Castle and its grounds were temporarily transformed into a Medieval camp!

A damp start to the day on Sunday, June 19 didn’t deter the crowds from turning out later on in the afternoon and there was a feast of entertainment for visitors to enjoy.

From birds of prey displays, medieval music, story telling and games to the antics of the Jolly Jester, the combat displays on the bowling green and a chance to view the work of the Claro Archaeology group and their Scriven project, many visitors also took the chance to visit nearby historic St John’s Church which was open for viewing.

* See this week’s Knaresborough Post out on Friday, June 24 for pictures from the event.
