Ripley Show: The show takes place tomorrow at Ripley Castle Park. It features falconry, bike stunts, vintage tractors, sheep dog trials, gymkhana, ferret racing, carriage driving, gun dog competition, crafts, trade stands, bouncy castle, children's fun area, Punch and Judy, classic cars, produce, cattle, sheep, heavy horses, pony club, flower arranging, and more. Car parking free, adults £6, children 5-16 £3, under-5s free.

Barbecue: The Star Club annual barbecue will take place tonight (Friday) at 7.30pm and is again a bargain at only 5 per head. Following the barbecue there will be an optional quiz so a full evening's entertainment is on offer.

Car Boot Sales: During August the car boot sales at Ripley Cricket Club will be held on Sundays 17 and 31. The site will be open to sellers from 7.30am and to buyers from 8.30am.
Ripley Ramblers: Ripley Ramblers is for anyone. Feel free to come on the second Sunday of each month for a walk of five or six miles.

Mobile Library: The mobile library and information service will next be visiting Ripley on Wednesday, August 20 from 3.05-3.15pm.

Old Farmyard: The Old Farmyard Ripley will be open every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday noon-5pm. In the beautiful setting of Ripley village in the unique old fashioned fold yard come and see our beautiful Clydesdale horses, jersey cows and calves, hen, piglets and rabbits, different breeds of sheep feed, a baby lamb, also old traditional craft displays and rural life museum of bygone days.
Then go on a horse and carriage ride round the village. Adults 3, Children 2.50.
