Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is coming to Harrogate for an exclusive appearance as she unveils her second crime novel.
The author, writing under the pseudonym of Robert Galbraith, will on the Harrogate stage at the Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival alongside bestselling crime writer Val McDermid.
The event, at the Royal Hall on Friday, July 18, is her first - and only - appearance as Robert Galbraith this year.
The Harry Potter creator was unmasked last year after it emerged she had secretly published a thriller called The Cuckoo’s Calling under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith.
She will be ‘In Conversation’ with Val McDermid discussing her new crime novel The Silkworm which will be published in hardback by Little, Brown on June 19.
She will be signing books after the event, organisers have confirmed, but they have limited it to one book per person - with no dedications.
The world-famous author will join the Festival which runs from July 17 to 20. Tickets for all Special Guest events will be go on sale from 10am on March 17.
