Champion barbecue chef Andy Annat is celebrating a big win at a rib-cooking competition.
The Knaresborough-based sizzling king scooped first prize at the Rib Nights event in Birmingham, beating top rivals to serve the juiciest pork ribs to 90 diners. Andy is a three-time national champion and has cooked for the Queen, and he created a St Louis-inspired recipe on his return from a two-year hiatus from competing. He is now preparing to open his first barbecue restaurant in Harrogate, located above the Blues Bar.
“I’m absolutely over the moon - this is also one of the dishes that we’ll be serving at the Blues Bar,” said Andy.
