Do You Want A Laugh: this evening Thursday, March 21 at 8pm in the Royal Hall, Milton Jones will deliver his special humour. As well as seeing him on the road we know him from his appearances on Mock The Week and Live at the Apollo as well as his many Radio 4 series. Music Workshop: as part of an ongoing commitment to open up classical music to a broader audience Harrogate Symphony Orchestra (HSO) has invited the South American inspired musicians known as Inca to run a workshop for local pupils of ages eight to 12 in the Royal Hall on Saturday, March 23 from 11am until 12.15pm. The workshop costs £11 and this includes two tickets for the HSO evening concert which includes one for an accompanying adult. Places are strictly on a first come first served basis. Harrogate Stray Probus Club: will hold its next meeting at 2.30pm on Tuesday, March 26 in the Ascot House Hotel, Kings Road. The speakers will be Kath and Paul Kniblett whose subject is Moorcroft 1897-1997 A Living Art. Details of membership may be had from David Watson 01423 866323.

Fundraising Concerts: the popular Rock Up and Sing choir will once again perform at the Royal Hall in support of The British Thyroid Foundation’s 21st Anniversary. The Foundation helps people with thyroid disorders to avoid isolation and to gain information, support and understanding. Choirs from Skipton and Harrogate, including KidzRU will bring a unique musical event to the Hall on Sunday, March 24 at 7pm. Dance Workshop: Lauren Gotts of the Creative Dance Studio is holding an Easter Dance Workshop on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 9 and 10. Disciplines on offer are street, tap, breakdance, hula hooping, modern, cheerleading, jazz, crafts, choreography and more. Participants may book in for one day (£25) or two days ( £40). 10am-4pm each day. This is an early notice to give you the chance to book a place and pay your deposit. Harrogate Civic Society: at their meeting on Thursday, March 21 members will hear David Rhodes (former team leader of the Conservation and Design Team Harrogate Borough Council) talk on the High Victorian Churches of Studley Royal and Newby Hall by William Burgess. Grove Road School: the Easter holiday will be from Friday, March 29 to Monday, April 15 at Grove Road School, Grove Road.

Easter Activities: Coppice Valley Primary School will be having an Easter Stay and Play session for pre school children and their parents on Tuesday, March 26 from 9.30-11.30am. The children and their parents will be able to play in the Reception Class for the morning and join in with some Easter activities. The school will break up for the Easter holiday on Friday, March 29 until Monday, April 15.
