Saint Luke’s Church: the 10.30am Sunday service on September 15 will be Holy Communion at St Luke’s Church of England Church, Franklin Square, off Franklin Mount.
Saint Wilfrid’s Church, Duchy Road: he regular Sunday services held at Saint Wilfrid’s Anglo-Catholic Church, Duchy Road are 8am Mass; 10am Parish Mass, a crèche for pre-school children, with toys and things to do is available and 6pm Evening Prayer.
Harrogate Civic Society: the next meeting, to be held in the Kings Room, Ascot House Hotel, Kings Road, Harrogate of the Harrogate Civic Society is on Tuesday, September 17 at 7.30pm. A talk will be given by Michael Bevington a National Trust volunteer guide at Fountains Abbey. He titles the talk A Walk Round the Studley Deer Park and he will be covering St Mary’s Church, Studley House and stables, the deer park, lime kiln, glacial valley and the ice house. Entrance is £5 including refreshments.
Rotary Club of Harrogate: on Monday, September 16, the weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Harrogate at the Ascot House Hotel, Kings Road will be hosted by Eric Mitchell when the district governor will be present. Meetings start at 5.30 for 6pm.
New Gallery: there is a new gallery to browse around on Swan Road. Artist Tamara Lawson has moved from her gallery and studio in Ilkley to the former Anstey Gallery. As with the former gallery work of high standard local artists and sculptors,as well as glasswork and jewellery will be on sale. International artist Tamara will also be offering her own work and is happy to accept commissions.Opening hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm,Sundays 2-5pm and Mondays 11am-4pm.
