Harrogate Women’s Luncheon Club: Maggie Poppa is the speaker at the final lunch of the season of Harrogate Women’s Luncheon Club. The lunch begins at 12.15pm to be followed by the AGM. Radio York Broadcaster, Maggie Poppa will then speak about Retirement -What Retirement! The club meets at the Ascot House Hotel, Kings Road on the first Monday in the month, October to July. Harrogate Stray Probus Club: Andrew Morrison was the speaker at the recent meeting of the Harrogate Stray Probus Club which meets fortnightly at the Ascot House Hotel,Kings Road, Harrogate. Vintage Home and Fashion Fair: as part of the Harrogate Dance Festival there will be a Vintage Home and Fashion Fair at the Royal Hall, Ripon Road, Harrogate HG1 2RD from10.30am -5pm on Saturday, June29. 45 stalls will be offering for sale vintage items from 1920-1960. Midsummer Jukebox Dance: the sprung dance floor at the Cairn Hotel, Ripon Road will surely be well used on Thursday, July 4 from 8pm. On that evening live authentic music from the 50s, 60s and 70s will be played by musicians with lots of experience of that time. This will be an evening remembering the ground breaking sounds from that era, including favourites from the Beatles and Elvis – a chance to jive and twist the night away.
