England’s Medieval Wool Trade: former Professor of Textiles at Leeds University Wendy Childs, will explore England’s Medieval Wool Trade at the Friends of Harrogate and District Museums lecture series at 2.30pm on Sunday, February 24 which are held at the Old Swan Hotel, Swan Road.Wendy will explain how this major industry left its mark all around Yorkshire. Charity Event: the annual Harrogate Beer Festival charity event organised by the Harrogate Round Table will take place at the Crown Hotel, Crown Place, Harrogate from February 28 to March 2. Tickets are £10 and may be purchased online at www.harrogatebeerfestival.co.uk. The cost of the ticket includes six half pints, a glass to keep and a booklet of tasting notes.
Saint Luke’s Church of England Church: Morning Worship will be held at 10.30am on Sunday, February 24 at Saint Luke’s Church, Franklin Square, Harrogate. On Thursday, February 28 there will be a Themes and Fun All Age Service at 3.30pm. This is for accompanied children up to the age of 11. Games, craft and other activities are available followed at 4pm by a 15-20 minute service.
