HARROGATE’S Marks & Spencer store will be part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday, September 30.
Marks & Spencer has teamed up with MacMillan Cancer Support for the second year running, and 50p from every coffee sold will be donated to Macmillan, in addition to 10p of the sale price of a range of nine products.
The popular coffee mornings are held annually in various locations, and in people’s homes, and are designed to encourage everyone to take time out with friends and family and help raise £8.5m for the charity, which works to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
MacMillan fundraising manager, Charlotte Stern said: “We hope that the coffee morning at Marks & Spencer raises a huge amount of money this year to help people affected by cancer,
“Funds raised may be used for practical help with everyday tasks, financial advice and assistance to help with the unexpected costs of cancer, emotional support or expert medical care from a Macmillan professional.”
Coffee mornings can be held on any suitable date around September 30 and people can register at www.macmillan.org.uk/coffee or call 0845 070 1315.
