Knaresborough golfer John Parry has made the cut and will contest the third round of the US Open in a group including world number four Matt Kuchar.
Parry recorded a second-round 71 to take his total to 147 shots, having hit a 76 on day one.
His score of seven over par was enough to see him sail into the third round, with the cut standing at eight over.
He is expected to tee-off with Kuchar and Scotland’s Martin Laird at approximately 6.12pm BST on Saturday.
Parry began his second round game on Friday evening, but had to resume on Saturday.
He bogeyed holes 15 and 18, but a birdie on the par-three ninth hole reduced his score.
Poor weather has disrupted play at Merion Golf Club in Pennsylvania.
Phil Mickelson (USA) and countryman Billy Horschel lead the championship after two rounds, at one under.
England’s Justin Rose and Luke Donald are currently even, with Steve Stricker (USA).
