Last week, the Harrogate Advertiser Series supported the launch of a Johnston Press investigation to lift the lid on five-year plans to fill a £22 billion deficit in the NHS budget.

The ‘Sustainability and Transformation Plans’ are pitched by health chiefs as the answer to the multi-billion blackhole the NHS is forecasted to have if nothing changes by 2021. But the question that critics and many others are asking, is what will have to be lost to achieve this.
