Harrogate’s Marsden Pharmacy launched a pioneering new offering in health services to local residents on Wednesday July 9.
The pharmacy now offers free, enhanced services for a range of conditions including skin health, pain management and smoking cessation.
As well as planning to introduce anti-malaria and Diabetes testing the new skin offering includes the high-tech addition of a skin analyser machine.
It also covers all aspects of skin health from medicines management advice for people on prescription treatment to medicated skin products.
Pharmacy Manager, Melanie Barningham said: “We are delighted to be a pioneer in a partnership programme that will do so much to support the health needs of local customers.
“We want to help people feel confident in discussing their health problems, helping them to help themselves.
“Rather than having to wait for a GP appointment or go to A&E for minor ailments, we want to offer the community a relaxed environment in which they can discuss their concerns and receive expert advice when they need it.”
