Members of the public are to have their chance to quiz the Harrogate district’s health bosses at the next quarterly meeting on Wednesday.
The meeting of the Council of Governors of Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust will be held on Wednesday 30 July at 5.45pm at Ripon Community House, Sharow View, Allhallowgate, Ripon, HG4 1LE.
The meeting is open to members of the public, who will also have the chance to question the Trust’s Directors and Governors.
The meeting will be the first for the Trust’s new Chief Nurse, Jill Foster.
Sandra Dodson, HDFT Chairman, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Jill Foster as our new Chief Nurse. This is a great chance for local people to meet her and find out about her priorities in such an important role for high quality care.”
The meeting will also hear from Professor Sue Proctor, independent Chair of the investigation into matters relating to Jimmy Saville at Leeds, on the learning from that investigation.
Professor Proctor is also a Non-Executive Director at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.
This will be the last meeting for the Trust’s Chief Executive, Richard Ord, who retires at the start of August.
Mrs Dodson said: “After 30 years working in the NHS and the last five spent as Chief Executive at our Trust, I am sure that Richard will have some interesting reflections to share.
“Any members of the public who want to attend this meeting to find out more about our work are very welcome. Our Governors represent the public we serve, our staff and local partners. These public meetings are therefore an important opportunity for anyone to find out more about how we are doing.”
Questions from the public are welcomed and should be sent in advance by email to email@example.com or you can telephone the Foundation Trust office on 01423 554489.
