The Happy Wanderers Ambulance Organisation is looking forward to next year when it will celebrate 60 years of providing transport to disabled and older people in Harrogate and the local area.

Carmaster Garages, based in Starbeck, decided that in addition to keeping the two red Happy Wanderers minibuses on the road, in top condition, it would like to help the charity to establish its first ever website - www.happywanderersambulance.org.uk - and produce a new information leaflet to enable more people to know about the Happy Wanderers.

Rebecca and Dave Pullan, who lead the team at Carmaster, said: “It’s an absolute pleasure to support such a wonderful local charity that makes a difference to people’s lives on a daily basis.”

Colin Towse, trustee of Happy Wanderers, said: “Happy Wanderers is run totally by volunteers and depend entirely on voluntary income from their donors and supporters to keep providing this vital service. Visit our website to learn more or offer help.”
