X Factor Diana wows Harrogate
A HARROGATE nightclub was packed with X Factor fans last week to see kooky singer Diana Vickers perform in what was one of its most successful live events.
The 17-year-old, whose distinctive singing style took her to the semi-finals of the TV talent show, captivated fans at the Viper Rooms last Tuesday.
Andrew Strugnell, responsible for marketing and promotions at Viper, said: "It was a very popular event. We sold out before we'd even opened the doors. It was very successful."
Diana arrived around 9pm and met fans before taking to the stage and performing some of her X Factor songs, including Take That's Patience and Michael Jackson's Man in the Mirror.
Popularity
Mr Strugnell said: "The crowd were really supportive she was quite shocked at how wired they really were – she had a really good response.
"It has been one of the most popular ticketed events we have ever had.
"I think this is due to the popularity of the X Factor and catching her just as she came out."
Diana is the second X Factor finalist to sing at the Parliament Street club in the last month. Laura White performed songs to a sell-out crowd on December 12.
