Shadwell Village Hall: The village hall committee are very pleased to at last have a new caretaker in the Cottage at the village hall. The caretaker started on August 1 and a welcome dinner was held in the village hall on Saturday, August 7. The meal was cooked by David Ford and members of the committee and partners enjoyed the delicious three course meal. The caretaker is Kayleigh Creegan and her partner Liam will be living with her in the cottage. Kayleigh has just finished her university cour
St. Paul’s Church: St. Paul’s and the Methodist churches will be holding their joint annual service in the marquee on Sunday, August 22, the day after the Village Flower Show. The service is held in the Flower Show marquee on the playing fields at 10am. Everyone is welcome to this Community Service. The service will be conducted by Rev. Graeme Dutton from the Methodist and Rev. David Everett from St. Pauls. Coffee and fellowship after the service in the village hall.
Methodist Church: Rev. Graeme Dutton was ordained on June 27 at the Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Portsmouth. In addition to this momentous event in his life Graeme and his wife welcomed the arrival of their baby daughter who arrived just before Graeme went to Portsmouth. Graeme will be back in the pulpit and working in the community after his paternity leave. Best wishes and congratulations are sent to Graeme and his wife Becky.
