Ripon diver makes it a double gold

RIPON diving star Jack Laugher has been celebrating after achieving a double gold at the British Gas National Cup in Southend.
The 16-year-old recorded two personal bests at the event held at the weekend – one in the men’s one-metre springboard and the other in the men’s three-metre springboard.
The Ripon Grammar School pupil said: “I won the National Championships on the one-metre springboard last year, but to do it again was amazing.”
Jack’s next big competition is the World Cup, which is being held in the Olympic Aquatic Centre in London at the end of the month.
