Raising a flag for Dales' war heroes
MEMBERS of the Nidderdale Branch of the Royal British Legion, councillors and members of the public gathered outside St Cuthbert's Church, Pateley Bridge for a flag raising ceremony.
The special Armed Forces Day flag was raised by the Mayor of Pateley Bridge, Coun Chris Henderson, while the bugle was played by district councillor Stan Beer.
The president of the Nidderdale Branch of the Royal British Legion John Simpson, 91, and the chairman Ian Weatherhead were in attendance.
