Quiz boost for hearing dogs
A QUIZ night will be held next week to help raise funds for the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People charity.
The event will run in Holy Trinity Church Hall in Knaresborough on Friday at 7.30pm.
Teams of between four and eight people are invited to take part and the ticket price of 5 per person includes a finger buffet and tea or coffee.
The local quiz is part of a national competition and the overall winning team (ie. the team with the best score from the local quizzes) will receive a cup and 300 worth of store vouchers.
Organisers have said that anyone entering with a hearing impairment need not worry that they may not hear the questions as written question sheets will be issued to them to ensure they have an equal chance with everybody else.
