Women's World Day of Prayer: Friday, March 5 at 7.30pm in the Methodist Church, Pateley Bridge. Over 3million people worldwide will be praying together during the day. The wave of prayer starts in Tonga and ends in neighbouring Western Samoa, having passed through many countries, following the sun. This year the interdenominational service has been prepared by Christian Women of Cameroon in West Africa. All are welcome to attend. It is a day of prayer for everyone, not just women.
Fellbeck Luncheon Club: Monday, March 1 at the Half Moon Inn noon for 12.30pm. Our speaker will be Dorothy Newall who will give us one of her interesting talks on items from the museum, this time on hats. Please note that our last meeting will be on April 12.
Pateley Bridge Ceilidh: The well known local Ceilidh band Castabella are leading a Ceilidh at Pateley Bridge Methodist Church on Saturday, February 27 at 7pm. Beginners are more than welcome. The event is being held to raise money towards the building work which is in progress at Summerbridge Methodist Church. Tickets include a sumptuous buffet supper and refreshments, and are available from Helen Gill on 780365, priced at 10 for adults and 5 for children - under 3's are free.
Lent Lunches: This year the theme for Lent Lunches will be “Christians and Climate Change.” Presentations are followed by lunch:- Wednesday, March 3, noon Summerbridge Methodist Church.
Nidderdale Safer Neighbourhood Group: The next meeting is on Wednesday, March 3 at Pateley Bridge Council Offices, at 7.30pm. This is the annual meeting meeting, which will be followed by our usual meeting format. Queries and any apologies to Ann Kent 01423 780495.
Cricket Club: Pateley Bridge Cricket Club are holding junior coaching sessions for U11s, 13s and 15s at the Pateley Bridge Sports Centre from 4-5 pm, and senior nets between 5-6pm. For further information contact Richard Light on 07791 049453. New and existing members welcome.
Ladies’ Club: Pateley Bridge Ladies’ Club will next meet on Monday, March 1 when Pat Berriman will speak on Malawi. Meetings are held at the Pateley Club at 7.45pm. New members and visitors are always welcome. For more info contact Pam on 711679.
Pateley Bridge Dance Club: The next dance will be tonight, Friday, February 26, 8pm to 11.30pm at Pateley Bridge Memorial Hall. Dancing to Jim at organ. Entry 6.50 on the door to include supper. There will be a raffle. Bring your own drink. All welcome. Details from 01423 711197 or 01423 711642.
