Night at the Opera

TOMORROW sees Knaresborough Choral Society in concert at Holy Trinity Church when the singers present A Night at the Opera.

The programme will be a recognisable variety of popular opera choruses and solos including works by Berlioz, Bizet, Britten, Mozart, Handel, Rossini and Verdi. Soloists are Heather Jane Taylor, Joanna Gamble, Colin Reed and David Bainbridge with pianist, Pamela Jolly accompanying.

Knaresborough’s Mayor, Coun Mavis Clemmitt and Mayoress, Coun Jean Burdett will be attending and with conductor, Martin Binks celebrating his 70th birthday shortly, there’s certain to be a celebratory air to the evening!

Starting at 7.30pm, tickets priced 10 are available from Dragonfly in the market place or on the door. Refreshments will be served during the interval.
