Kickstarting second stage of COGS appeal

FUNDRAISING continues for the second phase of the COGS (Centre on Gracious Street) project in Knaresborough.

The Mayor of Knaresborough, Coun Mavis Clemmitt is supporting the COGS appeal and has chosen it as her Mayoral charity to support during her year of office.

Phase Two will see attention turned to the 1815 church hall, which requires a ‘makeover’ and the refurbishment of the upstairs ‘Dales Room’ and the ‘Forest Room’, the latter being used by the Youth Group.

With the cost for the second stage of development in the region of 450,000, the church members hope to carry out the work before the church’s 200th anniversary in 2015.
