Handicraft and produce show
CLARO Group of WIs is holding its bi-annual Handicraft and Produce Show in Gracious Street Methodist Church tomorrow.
The hall and ‘Bridge’ coffee bar will be open to the public from 1.30pm until 4pm. The show will be opened at 2pm by the Mayor, Coun Mavis Clemmitt, and trophies for the best exhibits in different sections will be presented.
Various clubs in the Claro Group will be competing against one another in 20 different classes, ranging from hot cross buns to embroidered or cross stitch pictures, to flower arrangements, jars of hedgerow jelly and knitted glove puppets.
There will be a small entrance fee and tea or coffee and biscuits will be served in the Bridge. There will also be a tombola.
