Friends to cycle 360 miles in three days to help hospice
KNARESBOROUGH resident, Graham Holman is set to literally get 'on his bike' to help raise money for a very worthwhile local cause.
He will be joined by his friend, Ben Lynch for a cycling challenge which will see the pair complete a distance of 360 miles in three days from Harrogate to Plymouth, in a bid to raise money for Saint Michael’s Hospice.
“Last year, I lost my mum through cancer and during her last two weeks she was a resident at Saint Michael’s,” said Graham.
“We as a family experienced first hand what a fantastic job they do and they helped us through the most horrendous time.
“I have set a challenge to raise as much money as I can for the Hospice and have managed to rope in my best friend to cycle with me starting from Saint Michael’s and finishing at Plymouth harbour.
“We hope to cycle 120 miles a day.
“I would like to add neither my best friend or myself are competitive cyclists and have never cycled 120 miles before, never mind 120 miles over three days!”
