Disruption likely on Spofforth Hill
TRAFFIC is likely to be disrupted for five weeks on a busy Wetherby highway.
Repairs to pedestrian footways on Spofforth Hill will start on Monday. (August 16)
The affected length stretches from Linton Road to Wentworth Gate, the district boundary.
A spokesman for Leeds City Council said: “The kerbs are in good condition but the surface of the footway has deteriorated. We will remove the tarmac which will be recycled and will then replace it with appropriate ,material.”
The contractors will be working between 9.30am and 3.30pm from Monday to Friday.
Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained at all times but vehicular access to properties may be restricted.
