Did suspect target you?

RESIDENTS in Harrogate are being asked to check their properties after a man was arrested.

Police stopped the 21-year-old in the early hours of Tuesday, February 7 after he was seen acting suspiciously around St George’s Road, West End Avenue, Leeds Road and Otley Road.

Officers then discovered a number of items which they believe were stolen from proeprties or vehicles in the area. The man has since been bailed while inquiries continue.

DC Peter Allison of Harrogate CID said: “I am asking who lives in the area, where the man was arrested, to check their vehicles and outbuildings to ensure that nothing is missing.

“If you do suspect that something may have been stolen I urge you to contact Harrogate CID as soon as possible.”
