Concert: Nidd Chorale will be giving a concert at Providence United Reformed Church, Dacre Top at 7.30pm on Friday, October 17. Admission £5 on the door, including refreshments. Proceeds to church funds. Details from 01765 650388.
Christmas Shopping: The Friends of Dacre Braithwaite School are holding a Christmas Shopping Bazaar on Thursday, October 23 at Dacre & Hartwith Village hall from 7-9pm. Entry tickets are 2.50 per person to include seasonal refreshments and an entry in the raffle. Tickets on the door or in advance from Heather McArdle on 07929 944347. All proceeds in aid of Dacre Braithwaite School. Stalls include Books, Deli, Toys, Jewellery, Candles, Garden Ornaments, Photo Gallery, shoes and more.
Charity Event: To raise funds for two local charities, Saint Michael’s Hospice and Andreas Gift (brain tumour research and support).To be held on Thursday, October 30 in Darley Methodist schoolroom at 8pm. John Bevers will give a slide presentation Yorkshire from the Aire. Admission 3 includes refreshments, door prize, cake stall, Saint Michael's gift stall. Any extra donations will be gratefully received. Organised by Darley Ladies group. Everyone welcome.
Perk–u–up: The next Perk-u-up coffee morning at Summerbridge Methodist Church will be on Saturday, October 25, between 10.30am and noon.

Darley in Bloom: Antiques Evening and Quiz with Nigel Smith (Associate Director of Tennants Auctioneers). For the ticket price of 8 there will be:
