Midsummer Madness: Last year’s event was held despite appalling weather. This year, Midsummer Madness took place on a lovely although slightly windy evening last Saturday up at Burnt Yates. Those attending enjoyed an excellent barbecue followed by waist expanding deserts. While there were games, these were more to do with hand to eye co-ordination and not the type which worked off excess supper! The evening was rounded off with a bonfire and the judging of the scarecrow competition which saw Hilda Walmsley carry off the champagne prize. Thanks and congratulations to all those whose hard work made the evening such a success.
