Channel 4 stardom for Harrogate dentist

A HARROGATE dentist will feature on the third and final episode of Channel 4 reality TV show Make me A Christian on Sunday night.

Viewers will see Alan Brosgill and his team give participant Martin a new smile as part of a range of cosmetic treatments to improve his appearance and confidence.

Mr Brosgill, who will celebrate 25 years of working in Pannal next May, was approached by Channel 4 programme makers to help Martin, a man who has lived with his toothless grin for years because of his phobia of the dentists' chair.

Practice nurse Debbie Appleson said she was excited to be part of the team involved in the filming.

She said: "This was a very interesting exercise. The practice has a broad spectrum of patients - families, TV personalities, seniors, politicians and captains of industry.

"Alan enjoys all aspects of dentistry but has a special interest in smile enhancements where he can deliver a life-enhancing change to improve people's self esteem.

"There is nothing more rewarding for all at the practice to see the improvements made to peoples smiles and to see the benefits it brings them."

Viewers can see the dramatic effect of the makeover on Sunday at 7pm.
