Buses boos tin the Dale

A NEW summer bus service launches in Nidderdale tomorrow, linking residents across the Dale.

The service, set up by the Dales & Bowland Community Interest Company, runs every Saturday and Tuesday from tomorrow until August 31, complementing the existing Sunday and Bank Holiday monday service.

Buses will connect with the 24 from Harrogate, leaving Pateley Bridge at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 3.30pm and travelling up to Lofthouse, Studfold Trails, How Stean Gorge, Middlesmoor and Scar House Reservoir. Buses travelling back down the Dale will also link with the 24 service.

The buses will be operated by AS Coaches whose proprietor Amanda Burton is well known as the leader of DalesBus Ramblers guided walks in Nidderdale using the Sunday bus.

The services are funded by the Nidderdale AONB Sustainable Development Fund and concessionary passes are valid for free travel with a 4 day return fare available.
