Birstwith Show draws the crowds

HUNDREDS of people headed to Birstwith last Saturday for the 116th annual village show.

The sun made an appearance long enough for crowds to take advantage of the wealth of entertainment on offer, including welly wanging, children's sports and a dog show.

The festivities carried on well into the evening, with live music and food in the show marquee.

Organisers hailed the event as a huge success and have had lots of positive feedback from visitors.
