Annual beer festival goes down better than ever

AN impressive 9,000 pints were supped and £25,000 was raised at this year's Harrogate and District Round Table Beer Festival.

Now in its 17th year, the three-day event was enjoyed by nearly 2,000 people at a new, larger venue - the Harrogate International Centre.

Harrogate Round Table Chairman Chris Cox said: “This year we were able take fundraising to a new level by utilising the increased capacity offered by the facilities at the conference centre.

“The response we received from the centre, sponsors and the public has been fantastic and we are already planning improvements to ensure continued success for next year.”

Festival organiser Remo Biagioni added: “We raised a lot of money for Harrogate charities while serving over 2,000 people with incredible beer. What more could you ask of a night out?”
