All systems go for gala
CALCUTT Gala takes place on Sunday, July 13, from noon.
It is being jointly hosted by the village hall and cricket club at the Union ground behind the Union Hotel.
Attractions will include fancy dress, children’s races, a gym display, dance troop, Knaresborough fire engine, bouncy castle, barbecue, tombola, raffle, plus other stalls and a car boot.
Car boot spaces are limited. To pre-book contact 01423 869171. There is a fee of 6 for car and driver. No vans allowed. Sellers from 10.30am.
Organisers are looking for tombola prizes, bottles and pledges of cakes.
Donations can be taken to the cricket ground on Saturdays and Wednesday evenings or left at the Union.
